TIPS FOR A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Exercise:

1. You should do high intensity cardio a minimum of 30 min. a day, 3 days a week.

2. Resistance training is important for maximum results. Train your different muscle groups at least once a week.

3. Allow enough time for your muscles to recover. Only train if your muscles are 100%.

4. Using correct form is always more important than do more reps incorrectly.

5. Don’t focus on your “problem” are. Overall fitness should be your goal.

Weight Loss:

1. Take control of what you eat. Slowly but surely reduce the size of your meals.

2. Watch those “sneaky calories”. Eating a salad with tons 5 tablespoons of 1000 Island dressing won’t help you lose weight.

3. Don’t cut out fats all together. Learn the difference between good and bad fats.

4. NEVER skip a meal and eat slowly. You are more likely to become full if you take your time eating.

5. Take it one step at a time. Studies show that easing in helps you achieve goals better than changing your lifestyle.

Nutrition:

1. If you eat meat, eat it baked or grilled and limit your redmeat intake to twice a week.

2. Cut back on extra fat like butter, bread or sourcream.

3. Drink a minimum of 8 eight-ounce glasses of water a day.

4. Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day.

Read labels. Know what’s in your food before you sit down to for your meal.
